Yes I'm going to AnimeBoston. I feel like I spent a lot of wasted time arguing about this just to turn around and say 'wa-hey guess what-!'

The folks at Anime Matsuri told me that they got Bespa Kumamero to perform there one year and that they were the shit (i.e. very good). HOWEVER, animecon concerts, or any popular concert for that matter, are known to have very long lines that stand still for a very long time just to get you into a seat where your view of the stage will be obscured by a smelly man about six feet tall with an afro.

Of course being 5 feet tall doesn't give me the edge here but the Miyavi concert was an exception to this rule because I waited in line longer than most people. Oh wait that's not true, because we weren't allowed to line up officially until 5pm. Those of us hovering around the doors to the concert for close to 12 hours and ended up at the front of the line when it started? We totally weren't waiting in line. YEA.

But then, Miyavi is what I went to Anime Matsuri for. The cosplay, the panels, and any other event was swiftly forgotten under the gorgeous idol who's merchandise I had to have so badly that I even used an atm with a 3 dollar usage fee. And spent such an amount on one particular item that it still makes me a tad uncomfortable to think about or even regale anyone with tales of. I think the proper time to wait for this kind of thing to be acceptable is 23 and a half years.

Back to AnimeBoston. Bespa Kumamero has a gorgeous female singer and I would very much like to stare at her hopping around the stage, but the music isn't good enough to sell me on it. Plus, I'm not there to see them. I'm there to hang out with my friends and cosplay, because I didn't get to do much of the latter at Anime Matsuri with all the MIYAVI CRAZE spreading around like a sweet sweet wonderful plague - OH GOD INFECT ME!
